2010 French open
New girl in town

I must apologize for the delay in my postings, but life on the road is not as easy some people think. It seems i'm not the most technically inclined person and seem to always run into understanding how to turn on my computer. With that said, Shal we get this Blog under way. For those of you who don't know, i've split with my previous player Aleks Wozniak and now am currently coaching a new crowd pleaser who goes by the name of Heidi El Tabakh. Formally the girl from Egypt and now from Canada. Good o'l canada, the land who excepts them all. We started working 7 weeks ago in her home town of Tampa, Florida where we grinded a couple weeks of training before playing a warm up tourney in Cocoa Beach before heading on over sea's to paris for the French Qualie's. We decided not to play an event the week prior the the qualifying to give us one week of training to get use to the time and courts at Rolland Garros. As well, i felt the need to practice my french… Not on women, come on. Always a smart move before a big slam. It seemed to have payed off, as Heidi ended up fighting back from a set and 4-1 down in her first round against the 31st seeded russian to end up beating the girl who knocked off the top seed the day before 6-1, 6-1 in the last round. This put her through to her first grand slam main draw appearance, and what an debut she made. She drew the top french girl and new WTA hot shot, Aravane Rezai which only meant a guaranteed match on The famous Phillip Chartrier centre court in front of a sold out crowd. As most fresh new faces who lack the experience of matches on the grand stage, nerves always seem to be your best friend on such occasions. That didn't seem to be the case for the first few games as Heidi went toe to toe with the french Star. Literally toe to toe. They had a dance off like in zoolander. Ok maybe that didn't happen. The much more experienced Aravane found a way to get an early break and blast her way through the rest of the first set and second to win 6-1, 6-1. Even though she got her butt kicked, she remained to be the most talked about player of the day. Always a good thing, look out people Magazine.
We are now heading on over to England to start our 3 week grass court season leading up to Wimbledon.
We'll be in touch kids.
Stay tuned...
